CMC realized the power of creating envelopes on the fly many years ago.

First brought to market in 1991, the CMC Paperwrap created envelopes from a single cut sheet of paper. From that moment on, the CMC paper wrapping concept spread throughout the world and developed extensively as an alternative to traditional inserting.

In 1992 the concept was extended to a web-fed system which led the way to the early Polywrap, a machine creating envelopes from a roll of paper, wrapping around the document and cutting the envelopes into individual mailpieces.

In 1996 the first Polyjet was launched. With improved performance, rotary knife to separate each envelope and extended software solutions made this system the most flexible solution for premium direct mail and transactional mail pieces.

By 2010, with more than 300 systems installed worldwide, the various paper wrapping modules were merged under the CMC JWR series.

In 2011, CMC introduced the new CMCEnvelope logo which embraces the ability and advantages to make the envelope in line in one concept: PaperWrapping is CMC!

When combined with the latest color digital printing developments the JWR and CMCEnvelope are taken to a new level in increasing mailroom efficiency, adding personalization, and increasing production. Transpromotional opportunities can be leveraged to convert envelopes into cost-effective, personalized marketing tools that increase response rates.
