CMC has a long history of innovation since being founded in 1980 by Mr. Giuseppe Ponti, a technical engineer with long experience in the graphic and printing industry.  In just a short time the company made significant strides in the national marketplace, laying the groundwork for an extraordinary international expansion that is still underway.

In its headquarters in Città di Castello (Italy) CMC designs and produces their machinery while managing the relative marketing, sales and after-sales assistance activities. CMC provides its clients with record-breaking performance along with unprecedented reliability, producing envelope inserting equipment and film and paper wrapping systems that operate at incredible speeds.

CMC engineering division is dedicated to research and development, providing qualified technical support during the design, development and prototype production phases. The engineering division of CMC promotes relations with regional and national research centres, universities and secondary school institutes. This organisation also provides professional training and manages training classes to teach graduates the specific knowledge they need to become part of CMC’s team of professionals. They also hold advanced training classes for their in-house personnel or those already working in the field.

CMC feeder division was established in 1988 with the aim of manufacturing high-precision mechanical parts and feeders that are key to the high speed production capacity of CMC’s machinery. And in keeping with the company’s global quality standards, CMC also produces its own mechanical devices.

CMC electrical division, founded in 1989, designs all of the electrical installations and cabinets for the machines produced and heads the group’s software development department. Thanks to this division, the PC-Add software was developed, integrating complex systems while managing all of the “intelligent” functions of CMC’s lines.
